The first batch of students at Jagadguru Kripalu University (JKU) celebrated their first Guru Diwas / Teachers’ Day, a warm and lively occasion dedicated to thanking their faculty. The celebration began with Saraswati Vandana, Guru Vandana, and Mangala Charan, presented beautifully through classical Odissi dance. Staying true to the traditional Indian way of honouring the Guru, students personally escorted each faculty member to the hall, welcoming them with Chandan and Kumkum tika, and performed Aarti as a mark of respect and gratitude. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rabinarayan Satpathy addressed the students at the beginning of the programme and encouraged them to value their teachers and make the most of their learning journey with sincerity and dedication. The event then took on a festive energy with a cake-cutting ceremony and student-led performances, including acoustic songs and group dances. The celebration ended on a personal note, as several students took the mic to share heartfelt stories and thank individual teachers for their support.
