A. Offline / Physical Classroom & University Courses
Degree Courses:
- Registration / Admission Fees: Kept strictly non-refundable once a physical seat
is blocked.
- UGC Formal Degree / Diploma Programs: Fee refunds for formal university
degree/diploma programs are governed strictly by the statutory UGC Fee Refund Policy
in force for the academic session. Current policy is,100% refund up to Sept 30/Oct
31, and the 90% /80% /50% /0% slabs relative to the last date of
admission.
- Short-Term Physical Certificate Courses: 100% refund of tuition fees (minus a
₹1,500 seat admin fee) if requested 7+ days before classes start. No refunds are
permitted once physical sessions commence or study materials are collected.
B. Live Scheduled Online Programs
(Programs with defined start dates, scheduled live lectures, instructor interaction, and
fixed seat limits)
- Cancellation 14 or more days prior to batch start date: *
Eligible Refund: 100% of tuition fee refunded.
- Deduction: A flat non-refundable administrative processing fee of
₹1,000.
- Cancellation between 7 and 13 days prior to batch start date: *
Eligible Refund: 90% of tuition fee refunded.
- Cancellation within 7 days prior to batch start date: *
Eligible
Refund: 75% of tuition fee refunded.
- Cancellation within 7 days AFTER batch commencement: *
Eligible
Refund: 50% of tuition fee refunded. Condition: The
student must have attended
no more than 2 live sessions and must not have accessed/downloaded
course repository assets.
- Cancellation after 7 days of batch commencement: *
Eligible
Refund: 0% (No Refund). Seats in live classes cannot be reallocated
after the first
week of instruction.
- Breach of Terms: Refunds under this section are not available if
user access is revoked due to violations of Section 9 of the Terms & Conditions.
C. Self-Paced / Pre-Recorded Digital
Courses
(On-demand recorded content, downloadable study notes, automated quizzes, and digital
certifications)
Due to the digital nature of instant access, consumption, and piracy risks:
- Refund Request Window: Must be submitted within 48 hours
of purchase.

Consumption & Download Threshold: * A refund will
only be considered if the user has viewed less than 10% of the
course modules/videos.
The user must NOT have downloaded any attached study
materials, code repositories, or certificates.
- Exclusions: Any request received after 48 hours, or exceeding the
10% consumption/download cap, is 100% non-refundable
- Refund requests must be made within 48 hours of purchase.
- Eligible only if the user has viewed less than 10% of course content and
downloaded no study materials or certificates.
D. Short-Term Offline / Physical On-Campus
Workshops
(Physical classroom bootcamps, lab-based workshops, or weekend campus sessions)
- Seat Booking & Registration Fee: Strictly non-refundable once a
physical laboratory or classroom seat is blocked.
- Cancellation 7 or more days prior to workshop start date: 100%
refund of tuition fee component, minus a physical seat administrative fee of
₹1,500.
- Cancellation less than 7 days prior to or after workshop start
date: No refunds are issued once physical sessions begin or physical
training toolkits/study kits are distributed.
E. Batch Postponement, Instructor Change, or
Course
Cancellation by University
- Course Rescheduling: If the University postpones the start date
of a short-term course by more than 14 calendar days, the student holds the option
to either transfer their enrollment to the rescheduled batch or request a 100% full
refund without any administrative deductions.
- Course Cancellation: If the University cancels a short-term
course prior to launch due to low enrollment or administrative reasons, a 100% full
refund will be automatically disbursed within 7 to 10 working days.
F. Non-Transferability & Batch Deferral
Options
- Transferability: Course enrollments for short-term programs are
strictly non-transferable to another individual.
- Batch Deferral Request: In lieu of a refund, students in Live
courses may request a one-time batch deferral to the subsequent batch if requested
at least 3 days prior to batch launch (subject to seat availability and a
₹500 batch transfer fee).
G. Registration, Application, or Examination
Fees
- All one-time registration, application processing, or examination fees are
strictly non-refundable.
H. Voluntary Donations
Jagadguru Kripalu University (JKU) is a public charitable Trust and largely reliant on
voluntary contributions and donations from the public for its charitable activities. Funds
are raised for specific purposes such as University operations, new buildings, student
facilities, hostel & mess extensions, labs & projects within JK University and other
philanthropic activities to fulfill the objectives of the Trust.
All receipts / donations to our organisation collected on jku.edu.in and/or donation.jku.edu.in are completely voluntary in
nature and at the discretion of the donor. Due to the voluntary nature of donations, JKU is
unable to provide cancellation or refund of donations.
