The program provides a strong foundation in applied microbiology, integrating molecular techniques, microbial diagnostics, and laboratory practices essential for modern healthcare and research settings.

It offers comprehensive training in clinical research, covering clinical trial design, regulatory compliance, biostatistics, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) aligned with UGC and NEP guidelines.

Microbiological & Clinical Laboratory Tools:
Laminar air flow units, incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets, colony counters, microscopes.

Molecular Biology & Diagnostic Tools:
PCR, RT-PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, ELISA Readers, DNA/RNA Extraction Systems, Western Blotting Systems.

Clinical Testing & Biomedical Analysis Tools:
Hematology analyzers, Biochemical analyzers, Microbial susceptibility testing systems, Chromatography systems (HPLC), Spectrophotometers.

Culture Media & Microbial Identification Tools:
Selective & differential media, Microbial culture plates, Antibiotic sensitivity kits, Biochemical test kits, Automated ID systems.

Bioinformatics & Data Analysis Tools:
BLAST, NCBI tools, BioEdit, Primer3, Clustal Omega, Clinical trial data analysis software, Statistical tools.

Program Details

  • The course enables students to specialize in applied microbiology with a strong focus on clinical research, while gaining essential knowledge in medical diagnostics, laboratory practices, and molecular testing used in hospitals, pharma, and healthcare laboratories.
  • Regular communication is maintained with parents regarding attendance, laboratory performance, clinical project work, and academic progress to ensure consistent involvement, discipline, and student support throughout the program.
  • The program includes industry-oriented lab training, microbial culture techniques, clinical sample analysis, molecular diagnostics (PCR/ELISA), clinical research methodology, internships, and expert-led workshops to build real-time hospital and research skills.
  • B.Sc. Applied Microbiology – Clinical Research is a 4-year undergraduate degree designed to develop strong foundations in microbiology, clinical diagnostics, biomedical research, and medical testing, preparing students for careers in hospitals, pathology labs, pharmaceuticals, biotech research, and clinical trial organizations.

B.Sc. subjects like Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biotech, Life Sciences, or related fields, with at least 50% marks in graduation
